When I was walking in the hallway of a museum filled with monotonous pieces of modern art that aren't even appealing to the eye nor the heart, all of a sudden, I stumbled upon a painting that finally caught my attention. I get closer and realize it's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen in the whole world. Its beauty could only compare to the Mona Lisa. It's something I want to look at forever and take with me everywhere for when I'm feeling sad. I can look at it and remember that there's beautiful things in the world to look forward to. I took a picture of it, but my camera degraded its beauty a little bit. Still, it's easily one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen in my whole life. I want to look at it every day so I save it as my home screen so every time I turn on my phone, I'm reminded of how beautiful someone can be. But every day as I see it more and more, I notice the finer cracks and imperfections in them, I start getting used to it beauty and it's nothing out of the ordinary that stands out to me anymore, its as if the painting starts presenting its flaws to me and as my phone gets older, it's light starts to dim until the painting that I once saw as the most beautiful thing in the world turns into a dark shiny screen on my phone in which I see my reflection. When I turn my phone back on, I see the painting again, but nothing in my perception has changed. I don’t get that hit of adrenaline I got when I first saw it. It's still a beautiful painting, but it's not the best thing I've seen in the whole world anymore. I know I'll find prettier paintings but I'll always remember the ones I outgrew.
